Story:
Not too long ago, Raccoon City was ravaged by a bizarre
plague of Zombies. It seems that the Umbrella Corporation had devised a new kind of biological warfare, the T-Virus, which
was left loose on the population causing living things to mutate into horrible creatures! Thanks to the heroic S.T.A.R.S team,
the T-Virus was stopped in it's tracks! But later on, Umbrella concocted a new, deadlier weapon, the G-Virus, which has picked
up where the T-Virus left off. Once more, Raccoon City has been consumed, or nearly so, by the undead. It's up to Leon, who
is a Raccoon City Police Officer on his first duty and Claire, the sister of S.T.A.R.S member Chris who happens to get caught
in the middle of the chaos, to get Raccoon City out of this mess!
Characters:
 |
Leon Kennedy - In Resident Evil 2, Leon
is an R.P.D rookie cop on his first day. While having the desire to protect and to serve, he sometimes can be quit reckless.
His life as a cadet was an eye-opening experience. Leon arrives in Raccoon City for his first mission which could be his last.
He has no idea what he is getting himself into! |
 |
Claire Redfield - Claire is the younger
sister of Chris Redfield. She is a light-hearted, articulate modern woman. While she can be shy at times, underneath that
is a wild side. She has a lot of self confidence which will help her with her upcoming challenges. Claire is usually the first
person to try something others would not. |
 |
Ben Bertolucci - Ben is a reporter for the
local Raccoon City newspaper who came acrosss more information than he was supposed to know. You first see Ben locked up in
a jail cell below the R.P.D. Building. He can be very hard to reason with since he refuses to leave the cell in fear that
his life may be in danger. Later on in the game something mysterious kills him while in the cell! He sould of listened to
you and left that damn cell when he had the chance! |
 |
Chief Brian Irons - A very sick, demented
man! Chief Irons is a major player in the entire Umbrella scheme. You don't want to cross his path since he can be easily
enraged. Something grabs him from out of a sewer towards the end of the game and kills him. I guess he got what was coming
to him! |
 |
Annette Birkin - Annette is married to William
Birkin and also the mother to Sherry. She is very protective of her husband's work on the G-Virus. In fear of all the hell
breaking loose throughout the city, she sends her daughter Sherry to the police department and tells her to stay there! Not
much of a safer place if you ask me! Annette is very paranoid since she believes that everyone is agaisnt her and her husband
William. She fears that everyone is out to steal the G-Virus and will do anything to stop them! |
 |
Sherry Birkin - The daughter of William
& Annette Birkin. She is a lonely, insecure 12-year old, yet very mature for her age. She does not have a lot of self-confidence
and feels she is always lost. Sherry does not have a good home life since her parents are so wrapped up in their work at Umbrella
Corp. |
 |
William Birkin - William is one of the lead
scientists and researchers for Umbrella and the sole creator of the G-Virus, which is a modified version of the T-Virus. Heinjects
himself with the virus when Umbrella agents raid his laboratory to take the virus from him. Therefore, he mutates into a Tyrant-like
creature and kills the umbrella agents and creates chaos throughout the city! |
 |
Ada Wong - This is the lady Leon meets at
the beginning of the game. She is a very talented, professional investigator, but is quite secretive about what she is really
after. As you play the game you will find that Ada is searching for something other than her lost boyfriend. She pulls a gun
on Leon before she falls to her death. |
 |
Hunk - Hunk is one of the 4 agents sent
by Umbrella to take the G-Virus away from William Birkin. Birkin kills 3 of the agents, but Hunk amazingly escapes with the
G-Virus sample. He is a playable character in the extra game, which you will be able to play if you beat each mission 3 times
with an A or B ranking. |
 |
Marvin Branagh - Marvin is the cop you meet
in the R.P.D building. He is laying in one of the rooms in a bloddy mess after being attacked by zombies. He gives you a blue
Key Card which will give you access to the hall computer and then locks the door behind you. Later on when you have to reenter
the room, he is now a zombie and you will have to kill him. Poor Marvin! |
 |
Robert Kendo - Kendo is the gun-shop owner
you meet at the beginning of the game. When you enter the shop, he pulls a gun on you thinking that you are a zombie! Before
its too late, you reason with him and try to figure out what is going on. As both of you are talking, the window breaks and
he is attacked by a group of zombies. You fight the zombies off of him, but it is too late. On a bright note, you get a bow-gun
that he was carrying! |
Weapons:
|
 |
Knife - The combat knife is basicly useless
throughout the game. It only comes in use if you are completely out of ammo. Not too many people will use the knife through
the game unless they want to die quickly. |
 |
H & K Handgun - The Heckler and Koch
Handgun is Leon's Handgun that you start out with at the beginning of the game. Ammo is in plentiful, but it soon becomes
ineffective in the later stages. It has the ability to hold 18 rounds at a time. |
 |
H & K Handgun Modified - This is the
modified verson of the H & K Handgun. This upgrade will give the gun the ability of rapid fire! |
 |
Browning - The Browning is Claire's Handgun
that you start out with at the beginning of the game. Again, the ammo is plentiful, but soon becomes ineffective in the later
stages of the game. It is able to hold 13 rounds at a time. |
 |
Remington M1100 - The Shotgun is very powerful
and can kill Zombies at short range. A pretty good amount of ammo is available and is a good weapon to go against stonger
enemies. It is capable of holding 5 shells at a time. |
 |
Remington M1100 Modified - This is the modified
verson of the Remington M1100. This makes the gun a hell of a lot more powerful and is now capable of holding 7 shells instead
of just 5. |
 |
Bow Gun - The Bow Gun is inaccurate and
only useful against weaker enemies such as Zombies. Ammo isn't too hard to find, but the Bow Gun fires 3 bows at a time which
therefore can run your supply out quickly. Only use this gun if you have nothing else to work with. |
 |
Magnum Desert Eagle - The Desert Eagle is
undoubtedly one of the best weaponry in the game. It can kill most enemies in one shot, however, ammo is very hard to come
by. It is very powerful which comes in use with more powerful enemies. |
 |
Desert Eagle Modified - This is the upgrade
to the Desert Eagle Magnum. This will make it even more powerful and is able to kill multiple enemies with one shot! |
 |
Grenade Launcher - The Grenade Launcher
is even more powerful than the Desert Eagle. It is good from long-range and is perfect against stronger enemies. It can hold
3 different types of ammo and an unlimited amount of any round such as Flame, Acid and Grenade. |
 |
Flamethrower - The Flamethrower is only
useful against plant based enemies. It is used to clear a blocked passage by setting fire to a plant. The ammo is calculated
in % and uses up 2 blocks of inventory. Another bad thing is that the ammo runs out very quickly. |
 |
Sub-Machine Gun - The Sub-Machine Gun is
useful when you have a low supply of ammo. It has a similar effect to the handgun, but bullets are fired much faster making
it harder for enemies to get near you. The ammo is calculated in % and uses up 2 blocks of space as with the flamethrower.
A second clip of ammo is available in the second scenario. |
 |
Spark Shot - The Spark Shot is used to control
animals. It can attack multiple enemies at a time, but has very little effect against even Zombies. The ammo is calculated
in % and runs out very quickly. It also uses up 2 blocks of space so if you don't have the room, leave the weapon behind! |
 |
Rocket Launcher - The Rocket Launcher is
the biggest, most powerful weapon you can find in any Resident Evil game. Just about anything can be destroyed that crosses
your path with just one rocket! It's only weakness is slow aiming and firing times so be careful with quicker enemies. | |
Enemies
 |
Zombie - They appear in a number of forms
including biker zombies, acid-puking zombies, cop zombies, and lab zombies just to name a few. They are not hard to take out
if they are not in groups. Watch out not to get trapped between them since they are very slow moving. They take some time
to take out with just a handgun, but a shotgun or grenade launcher at close range will kill them quite nicely! |
 |
Cerberus - Cerberus' are found throughout
the entire game. They attack you very fast by jumping and scratching you in groups of three or more at a time. Listen closely
because they can be heard walking or running. Keep your distance and shoot them while they're down. |
 |
Licker - Lickers originated from human beings.
Their skin has rotted exposing muscle and brain tissue. Since they have no eyes, they detect things with their enhanced sense
of hearing. Be alert as they are very fast and have the ability to climb walls. When you hear them sighing or tapping their
claws, equip a powerful weapon! |
 |
Ivy Plant - The Ivy Plants are located all
over the Umbrella Labs. They can be heard dragging themselves across the floor from quite a distance away. Keep a good distance
away since they attack you with their long, sharp vines. On the bright side if you do happen to get attacked by them, they
inflict a very small about of damage. A Flame Thrower is probably the best weaponry to use agaisnt them! |
 |
Poison Ivy - The Poison Ivy Plants are located
all over the Umbrella Labs as the Ivy Plants. They are similar to the Ivy Plants, but have a red flower instead of a green
one which have the ability to spit poison clouds at you. |
 |
G-Type Mutant - The G-Type Mutation is the
first boss that you come across in the game. It spits it's offspring on the floor which can crawl on you and prevent you from
firing your weapon. If you use a high powered weapon, you should not have a problem killing these beasts! |
 |
Roaches - Roaches can be killed with one
Handgun bullet. They appear in ventilation shafts and on a computer desk in one of the Umbrella Labs. The only time it is
necessary to kill them is when you need to access the computer in the lab. |
 |
Alligator - This is one of the largest bosses
in the game, but also is the easiest. Run away from it in the sewers, activate the button to release the gas container and
wait for him to eat it. Then use your pistol to explode his head! Simple! |
 |
Spider - Spiders can be a problem since
they have the ability to spit poison at you from the ceiling. When on the ground, they can hit you with their legs or bite
you. Having a Blue Herb handy is always a good idea being around these things! |
 |
Crow - These are crows contaminated by the
T-Virus. The best bet is to just run away from them instead of wasting your ammo. They usually travel in flocks and stun their
prey before attacking. Luckily, they do not inflict a large amount of damage. |
 |
Moth - This giant Moth now inhabits one
of the Umbrella Labs. It trys to attack you several times, but often comes up short. An attack can be easily made because
of it's slow movement. However, while it's moving, it can be a difficult task to shoot at! |
 |
Mr. X - Mr. X was sent in by Umbrella to
recover a sample of the G-Virus. At first, he barely flinches at any attacks launched at him. Using great force, he uses his
fists to attack you! This thing is very intelligent and will not stop until his mission is complete! |
 |
Tyrant - This is Mr. X mutated into a faster,
stronger version of itself. Now having huge, sharp claws and enhanced strength, this is your first real challenge of the game.
Its a must to use a high powered weapon and to keep your distance. The Rocket Launcher is the ideal weapon to defeat this
Tyrant! |
 |
Birkin G-Type - This is the effect of the
G-Virus injection into William Birkin. He has 5 mutations, each time he gets more powerful. In his first mutation, he is half
human, half mutant. The second mutation is more intense, with all of William's original body parts gone and his original face
carved into his chest. Watch out for his claw swipes! The third mutation is even more intense and he now has wings. He is
really fast and once again will slash you with his huge claws. The fourth is a dog-like creature which jumps high and moves
lightning fast! His final mutation is basicly a blob like creature with tentacles so don't get too close. |
